Guidelines for Sellers

WARCI regularly receives e-mails from the general public regarding items that they’d like to sell or give away to a good home. If you have something to sell, we’ll usually send it out to our club’s e-mail list. If one of our members is interested in your item, they can then reach out to you directly.

Here are some guidelines to follow so that you will have the best chances of finding a new home for your radio or radio-related item(s).

What we need from you:

  • A description of the item for sale, including pictures if possible*
  • The town that the item is located in
  • The price of the item (O.B.O. if you’re taking offers)
  • Your preferred method of contact (phone and/or e-mail)

*It’s important that you are able to describe what you are trying to sell. A photo is always the best way to showcase the item you have for sale, but if you can’t send along any photos, a model number is helpful. Model numbers are usually on paper tags glued to the bottom or back of a cabinet. On older radios, they may be on a brass tag.

A good description will tell a collector everything that they need to know about the item you have for sale. Here’s an example:

Bad Description:
Old stand up radio for sale, belonged to my grandfather. Wood cabinet. Call (414)867-5309.
Good Description:

Please note: we will not consider your items if they are also for sale on another venue like eBay or Craigslist. We are happy to share your item if it is a radio or radio related (i.e. test equipment, tubes, manuals, parts, advertising, stereos and hi-fi). We reserve the right to restrict the type and frequency of the items that you advertise.
